Fall Schedule

The team decided to have a 5k run to raise funds. What they didn't know was that they picked a hot night to run. Kathy Goodrich captured the moment and is letting us share them with you.

The event was so popular, that siblings decided to participate. Here we see Jared (in red), in pace with Justin (blue) and Marcus (green/red). His older brother Brandon is secure in the fact that he has already passed the photographer.

Jared is
		going!

Not far behind is Colton, who has a lesson or two to learn about showing off your guns.

Flex 'em

He gets an 'A' for effort, but he really needs to study poise under a master:

Thing1 in this case is Jon, who easily ran lap 1, sat out lap 2, and blazed a trail on lap 3. The key to looking young is to pick your battles. And everyone knows that lap 2 is a doozy.

Speaking of pacing, we now get the boy wearing Celtic colors, even though he father (and great-grandfather) is a life long Rangers fan. Morgan is enjoying the quiet evening air:

Slide on by

At the start of the race Noah (hat) was the same height as Dean. By the end, Dean was a foot taller. The lesson should be that a forward can't compete with a keeper.

The intimidator

Our next contestant is Collin, who clearly wasn't challenged by the heat. In order to make the event more fair for the others, he decided to run the first lap with his eyes shut.

The sleeper

There was a bit of drama in the race, neither Stacy (middle) nor Shaula (right) realize that they are racing against Brandee (big smile) for a free cup at Starbucks.

The race is on

Here we see the leader of the second lap, Brandon. All is going fine, Jared is not in front!

Leader 2nd lap

Marcus is a firm believer that given an iPod and the right music, he can run anywhere. Through a careful analysis, we've narrowed his music selection down to either The Jonas Brothers, Alan Jackson, or The Beastie Boys. Marcus, can you confirm?

Marcus jams

And here comes Trevor, who is clearly distracted by the race within a race. Evidently he was watching his mother inform the others that they were racing for a cup at Starbucks!

Trevor runs

By the way, Trevor is running with a cracked rib. His never say die attitude would not let him watch his team mates run without him.

And we have another racer, in this case Scotty, who is handicapping himself by running with his eyes shut:

Scotty sleeps

Actually, fierce compititor that he is, he didn't want to see his dad pass him. Here is Thing2, Tom Adams, grinding his way on another lap. It is unknown at the time of this writing if he was wearing his trademark thong. A news crew is busy investigating!

Tom grimaces

As can clearly be seen, Tom has been busy raiding a girl's tea party to get a cup that size. As we can see here, Maleah is busy supplying runners with a refreshing drink:

Maleah serves

Rumor has it that even Collin was visibly happy to see his little sister with her cool supply of H2O.

Zach pulls in for a pit stop. And he is also happy to get a drink from Maleah.

Zach hydrates

If the event was a really a race, then here we would see Brandon winning the 5k:

Brnadon wins?

But as it was really a fund raiser, we see can instead focus on the boys relaxing afterwards. One can just imagine them pledging to do this again, the fourth Monday of every month!

Time to rehydrate!

Later, as we enjoyed BBQ that was lovingly cooked by Barry Stieber, the boys relax. Here we see Zach and his product placement attempt for Dr. Pepper:

Zach vegs

And here we see Noah and Scotty sharing both a chair and a moment.

Noah and Scotty

A big thanks goes out to everyone. It was a nice break near the end of the season to get together and mingle. The parents ate the BBQ and the boys played some free form soccer - i.e., Jerry was eating too.
