Fall Schedule

Preseason/Fall Development

Competitive Team Preseason/1st Season Development is a time that the coach becomes very involved in the development of the player and team. Players will continue endurance and strength training in the preseason but it will take a back seat to skills training (so it must structured to not interfere with session dates that would interfere with the technical development of the player). Strength and endurance training should not be combined with technical training unless the coach is able or willing to ascertain "tired" errors versus "technical deficient" errors.

During Preseason and the Fall, coaches will identify skills, areas of the game, and game patterns that will facilitate player/team growth. The focus should still be on the individual player in the younger ages but should start placing the players and their skill sets (already developed or to be developed in the Fall) in the team puzzle.
